Lock Change Notice
Clubhouse locks will be changed the weekend of Feb. 4-5, 2012.
New keys are available for purchase at a cost of $2.00 from Dave
Nelson (508)746-5291 (usually at club between 3-5pm weekdays &
12-3pm weekends - call club first: 508-746-9805), Carl Wolfrum
(781)582-2356, Skeet Committee (Sun. Mornings 9-12) or George
Baird (508)746-8887.
Note that no key will be issued without a current membership
card. Old keys may be disposed of (after lock changeover)
in the container by the door.
New Access Gate
The club is
currently installing a new gate to access the property. It is
being installed about 100 feet in from South Meadow Road and if
you have been to the club recently you may have seen the
galvanized posts where the gate is being constructed and
installed.
Once the
gate is operating (sometime after dues memberships have closed),
access to the club will be by use of a proximity “fob” or card.
You will not have to get out of your vehicle to open the gate –
just wave the fob or card at the reader and this will activate
the gate. Currently, exit from the property will also require
the use of the fob or card at an exit proximity reader –
however, this may change in the future to allow a “free exit”.
When fobs or
cards are available they will be sold at a cost of $20. Note
that this is a one-time charge. Clubhouse keys will still be
changed for the next couple of years, however there will be no
charge for the keys and will be given out when you purchase your
fob or card. If the member does not renew their membership,
their fob/card will be deactivated.
Continue
checking this website for developments about the gate.
Range Orientations
Outdoor
range orientations are scheduled for the two Saturdays following
the monthly board meeting. The orientation is a walk-through of
the Outdoor range and begins at 8:45 AM sharp. Rules and
regulations and other pertinent information for the area are
explained. If you have any questions regarding this orientation,
please contact Mr. Walter Fray at 508-393-8219 or Mr. Gene
Musante at 508-866-6094.
The Indoor range orientation will be held immediately following
the Outdoor orientation at 10 AM at the Indoor Pistol range on
the same dates. This is a live fire exercise and you will be
required to bring a firearm (any caliber), a target, 10 rounds
of ammunition, and eye and ear protection. (Targets may also be
purchased at the range.) Any questions regarding this
orientation should be directed to Mr. John Adams at
508-746-8521.
Completion of the orientations is required before any use of the
ranges is permitted by the member.
Guest Policy
Junior members of the Club and Guests must be under the direct
supervision of a Regular
member of the Club at all times. While on the shooting
line, all Junior Members and Guests will
be supervised on a one-on-one basis by a club member no matter
what their level of experience
may be. Members will stand behind and observe the Junior
member or the Guest while they are
shooting. Side-by-Side shooting of the member and their
guest is not allowed unless during a sanctioned club event.
We encourage
Junior members to become involved in any the Club’s sporting
activities. Guests of members are welcome and are encouraged to
become members of
the Club after 3 visits.
